Production

The AGEA wine production data refer to the declarations of wine producers* concerning the quantities produced in the harvest campaign referring to the date of 30 November.

The following are exempted from the obligation to submit a declaration of production:

Natural or legal persons or Associative Bodies of said persons whose production of grapes is entirely destined to be consumed as such, to be dried or to be directly transformed into grape juice by the producer or by a specialised processing industry;

The producers whose farms comprise less than 0.1 hectare of vineyard and whose harvest has not been, nor will be, even partially, put on the market in any form;

The producers who deliver the entirety of their production to an Associative Body.

Producers*
Natural or legal persons or the Associative Bodies of such persons, including wine-making cooperatives, which, as indicated by Art. 9 of the Commission Regulation (EC) n. 436/2009 of 26 May 2009, during the current harvest campaign:  

• have produced wine;
• hold, as of 00:01 of the day November 30, products other than wine (concentrated musts and / or rectified concentrates obtained in the current campaign), grapes, musts, new wines still undergoing fermentation even if destined for different uses such as grape juices, vinegars, etc.;  
• have proceeded with the purchase and / or transformation of products upstream of the wine and sold them completely before 00:01 a.m. on November 30; this also includes the subjects that are involved in the intermediation of grapes between the companies that produce them and the transforming companies.
